Easter feast cheaper this year

Meat and vegetable prices this Easter are between 4 to 5 percent lower than last year, according to the National Confederation of Hellenic Commerce (ESEE).

The Easter feast will set consumers back this year between 80 to 145 euros, versus an average of 90 to 150 euros last year, ESEE said in a statement issued on Monday, based on data collected on Saturday.

Lamb is up to 13.5 percent cheaper than in 2010, while price drops recorded among vegetables reach as high as 43 percent, according to the report.
