Stocks end in the red

Greek stocks lost mid session gains on Thursday, ending 0.44 percent in the red under the weight of weak banks.

The Athens bourse?s benchmark general index ended at 1,322.27 points, after touching on an intra session high of 1,341 points.

The blue chip FTSE/ATHEX 20 index eased 0.60 percent to end at 590.02 points and the mid-cap FTSE/ATHEX 40 index dropped 0.21 percent to 1357.77 points.

Banks dropped 1.03 percent, bringing losses in the last three months to just over 35 percent.

National Bank dipped 0.42 percent to 4.78 euros while Alpha Bank lost 2.27 percent to end at 3.44 euros. EFG Eurobank gave up 2.40 percent at 3.26 euros.

OTE telecom also underperformed, falling 2.70 percent to 6.84 euros and power company PPC shed 1.46 percent to close the day at 10.15 euros.

Turnover reached 90.5 million euros, versus 108 million previously.
