SETE proposals for tourism growth

Andreas Andreadis, head of the Association of Greek Tourism Enterprises (SETE), explaining on Tuesday SETE?s proposal for the sector?s development up to 2021 so that it can reach 24.6 million arrivals per year in 10 years? time.

Addressing a SETE conference, Andreadis proposed a flat 6.5 percent value-added tax for all-inclusive tourism packages, transport and coastal shipping and a 13 percent rate for catering.

The proposal also included halving the Athens Airport tax, a reduction in non-salary costs (with strict adherence to labor regulations), the cooperation of the public and private sectors for the upgrading of tourism education and the construction of 30 more marinas.
