With PSI factored in, stock index heads into the red

With the debt swap success already priced in from previous days, the Greek bourse suffered significant losses on Friday, although the benchmark ended the week with gains of 0.40 percent compared to the previous Friday.

The Athens Exchange (ATHEX) general index ended the day at 752.35 points, declining by 2.15 percent from Thursday?s closing level of 768.90 points. The blue chip FTSE/ATHEX 20 index contracted by 2.49 percent to close at 306.55 points.

Eurobank EFG led the losers, falling 8.33 percent, followed by Piraeus Bank (down 6.61 percent) and Alpha Bank (5.52 percent). OTE telecom outperformed with gains of 5.19 percent.

In total, 65 stocks registered gains, 98 posted losses and 23 remained unchanged.

Turnover amounted to 81.7 million euros, up from 63.5 million on Thursday.
