One bln euros for small, medium companies

The sum of one billion euros is expected to be released to small and medium-sized businesses through the Greek banking system, Plutarchos Sakellarris, vice president of the European Investment Bank (EIB), told Skai on Friday.

Sakellaris noted that a list of enterprises applying for the funding will have to be drafted before the funds are dispersed by the banks.

According to EIB statutes, only new small and medium-sized productive units are eligible for the funding.
