Dijsselbloem to meet with Greek FM in Athens on Friday

Jeroen Dijsselbloem, the chairman of the eurozone finance ministers, will visit Athens on Friday for a meeting with Greece’s Yannis Stournaras, reports said Thursday.

The meeting, which will take place at 3 p.m., is to be followed by a joint press conference.

No more details were made immediately available.

Dijsselbloem’s visit comes amid reports of strengthened confidence in the eurozone. In Greece, the first eurozone state to be bailed out and heading for its sixth straight year of recession, sentiment climbed to a five-year high in May.
