Number of building permits issued in April down 20.8 percent y-o-y

The number of building permits issued in April was down 20.8 percent compared to a year earlier, the Hellenic Statistical Authority (ELSTAT) said on Monday.

There was a 24.4 percent decrease in surface and a 19.7 percent decrease in volume, compared to the same month of 2012.

There were a total of 1,592 building permits issued in April and 19,109 over the last 12 months.
