More Scandinavian tourists to Crete, Rhodes this fall

The tourism season in Greece has been prolonged this year due to the continued unrest in Egypt, with major Scandinavian tour operator Apollo Kuoni announcing the shift of 25 charter flights from Egypt to Greece, mostly for Hania (pictured), Iraklio and Rhodes and scheduled up to November 25.

The company’s vice president, Takis Filippopoulos, also told Kathimerini that Apollo has already chartered 410,000 seats to Greece for next year and noted that if the country remains politically and economically stable, that number will rise further.

To date, Apollo has brought 378,321 visitors to Greece this year.
