Imports drop 15.3 pct, exports down by 22.6 percent in November

The total value of imports-arrivals in November 2013 amounted to 3.67 billion euros against 4.33 billion euros in November 2012, recording a drop of 15.3 percent, according to provisional data published by the Hellenic Statistical Authority (ELSTAT) on Tuesday.

The corresponding change excluding oil products recorded an increase of 4.4 percent.

ELSTAT said that total value of imports-arrivals for the 12-month period of December 2012 – November 2013 decreased by 4.7 percent compared to the corresponding 12-month time period of December 2011 – November 2012.

The total value of exports-dispatches in November 2013, meanwhile, amounted to 2.14 billion euros against 2.76 billion euros in November 2012, recording a drop of 22.6 percent.

The corresponding change excluding oil products recorded a drop of 7.9 percent

The total value of exports-dispatches for the 12-month period from December 2012 to November 2013 increased by 1.2 percent compared to the corresponding 12-month period of December 2011 – November 2012.
