The world’s largest and youngest cruise ship, the Regal Princess, operated by Princess Cruises, is expected to sail into the Port of Piraeus on Tuesday, with local port authorities planning to extend an official welcome to Captain Edward Perrin.

The Regal Princess set off on her maiden voyage on May 20 from Venice and is expected to tour the Greek islands and the Mediterranean through October 17, before heading to Florida for her official naming in November and then embarking on a Caribbean cruise.

The 142,229 GT vessel has a capacity of 3,560 passengers and 1,346 crew, with amenities including 1,780 staterooms, 17 decks, 16 bars and restaurants and a luxury spa.
