Minor gains at the end of up-and-down bourse session

The main index of the Greek bourse fluctuated in a rather narrow range on Tuesday before finally ending the session with marginal gains on reduced trading volume.

The Athens Exchange (ATHEX) general index ended at 1,150.17 points, edging up 0.10 percent from Monday’s 1,149 points. The blue chip FTSE/ATHEX 25 added just 0.03 percent, closing at 369.75 points, while mid-caps expanded by a healthier 0.86 percent.

Eltech Anemos suffered losses of 5.88 percent on its debut. In contrast Lamda Development’s new shares enjoyed a rise of 4.17 percent.

Terna Energy outperformed, adding 4.97 percent, Mytilineos went up 4.03 percent and Eurobank Properties climbed 3.37 percent. Ellaktor gave up 2.06 percent.

In total 61 stocks posted gains, 52 took losses and 22 closed unchanged.

Turnover reached 91.8 million euros, down from Monday’s 101.7 million.
