Greek stocks on the rise after days of turbulence
Continuing support for Greece’s efforts through a series of statements from European Union officials aided the Athens Stock Exchange to avoid new losses on Friday.
The Athens bourse had recorded a drop of 13.56 percent earlier in the week.
A little after 11 a.m. on Friday, the general index stood at 904 points, which represented a 4.04 percent rise with trading exceeding 41 million euros.
Sixty-two stocks had risen, five had declined while 7 remained unchanged.
