All personal finance data to be studied

The Finance Ministry plans to sift through mortgage and consumer loans, share holdings, bank account transactions, dividends and insurance contracts in a bid to locate undeclared incomes.

Hellenic Exchanges, Hellenic Post and companies that supply investment services have until March 31 to submit the above data to the ministry in the context of the creation of the property register (Periousiologio), which will reflect taxpayers’ income and asset profiles.

The general secretary for public revenues, Katerina Savvaidou, signed a decision asking the above authorities to forward details on bank account transactions, the installments and interest paid to service debts from housing and consumer loans, stock dividends and life, personal accident and health insurance contracts.
