Athens ranks high among Trivago recommendations for 2016
Athens ranks 17th among 45 popular global cities with the best cost/quality ratio, according to recommendations that online travel planner Trivago has made to its users for 2016.
Athens scored 78.36 popularity points, while Belgrade topped the list with 94.91 points.
Trivago also compiled another list with 100 lesser-known destinations that it also recommends to travelers. That list includes the town of Nafplio, in the Peloponnese, which ranked 63rd with 93.56 popularity points. At the top of that chart is the Chinese county of Fenghuang, with 98.01 popularity points.
