Tsipras says shipping can teach the country

Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras launched the Posidonia international shipping exhibition on Monday evening at the Metropolitan Expo Center next to Athens Airport, asking Greek shipowners to have confidence in the government "and for their help so that we can build a new relationship with the state, for the benefit of society and the economy."

He went on to explain that Greek ship ownership had managed to overcome its own crisis while the Greek state has not, so the former has a lesson to teach the latter.

Tsipras admitted that while Greek shipping is competitive, the Greek economy is not.
