ATHEX: Another quiet day on bourse
On a day of marginal movements and thin trading, the benchmark of the Greek bourse posted minimal losses on Thursday, with stocks split down the middle between winners and losers.
The Athens Exchange (ATHEX) general index closed at 568.65 points, shedding 0.19 percent from Wednesday’s 569.74 points. The large-cap FTSE 25 index fell 0.43 percent to end at 1,526.95 points, but mid-caps climbed 0.31 percent.
In total 44 stocks rose, another, 44 declined and 18 stayed put.
Turnover dropped to 37.6 million euros, from Wednesday’s 41.3 million.
The general index of the Cyprus exchange dipped 0.09 percent to close at 66.90 points.
