Thriasio tender on knife’s edge

Thriasio tender on knife’s edge

Monday is the deadline for the submission of bids for the concession of railway property company GAIAOSE’s plot at Thriasio, western Attica, for the creation of a major freight center.

None of the two shortlisted suitors has asked for a postponement to the deadline and GAIAOSE head Thanassis Schizas estimates that either one offer will be tabled, allowing the process to continue, or none, leading the tender to be deemed barren.

In the latter case, the tender will immediately be relaunched, Schizas said, in which case it will be the fourth time the same tender fails.

The two consortiums are China’s Cosco with Ethniki Pangaia and Grivalia Properties, and ETBA (of Piraeus Group) with the Goldair group.
