Athens stock exchange buoyed by European gains

Even though turnover remained low, the increases registered on European markets on Thursday gave the Greek stock exchange a boost.

The general pricing index in Athens rose 0.84 percent to 572.5 points after two days in negative territory.

The value of transactions came to 16.764 million euros – up from Wednesday’s dismal 13.677 million – while 19,661,405 shares were traded.
