Rhodes hotels enjoy 100 percent occupancy as late bookings surge

The largest of the Dodecanese chain, Rhodes, is enjoying a bumper summer this year, with hotels on the island reporting full occupancy.

After an uncertain start to the year following last year’s record tourism figures, a wave of late bookings appears to be turning things around, much to the relief of tourism industry authorities.

A spike in bookings over the next two months has been noted by the Association of Greek Tourism Enterprises, leading to hopes of an extended summer season through to October and another record year for Greece.
