Greek stock index twitches higher

The Greek stock market’s benchmark index posted a negligible 0.01 percent rise on Wednesday, closing at 567.94 points.

The value of transactions also climbed, reaching 26 million euros after days of failing to clear the 20-million-euro mark.

Transactions have remained low primarily due to the imposition of capital controls 13 months ago, which have prevented a fresh flow of capital into the market.
