Thomas Cook boosted by strong Greece demand

Revenues at Thomas Cook rose 3 percent thanks to strong demand for winter holidays in Greece and long-haul destinations, the tour operator said on Thursday while describing the country as a “standout” destination for this summer.

The company said that revenue for Greek holidays rose 36 percent but fell 41 percent for Turkey, whose appeal has been undermined by terrorist attacks and political instability.
