Agricultural Minister Alexandros Kontos (second from right) met with representatives of the livestock farming sector in Athens yesterday. The parties discussed problems in the sector, including the rising price of livestock feed and downward pressure on the prices of their products. ‘We analyzed all these issues relating to the Greek livestock sector. We explained the changes that are included in a draft bill that will be voted on next week. I should point out that, for the first time, a draft bill is being approved solely for the support of this industry,’ the minister told reporters after the meeting.
