Jumbo sales show retailer is not playing around

Listed toy retailer Jumbo said in a stock filing Monday that its sales had exceeded the 15 percent growth target over the first six months of the financial year. The company attributes its growth to an exceptional opening year of operations in Bulgaria and good results in Greece and Cyprus. «Jumbo group continues to maintain high rates of growth despite the particularly difficult macroeconomic environment and events in Greece in December,» the statement read, praising the significant contribution of stores in Greece which have maintained their momentum. The company operates 44 stores, including two in Cyprus and one in Bulgaria.
