Intracom signs US agreement

Intracom Telecom said its US subsidiary, Conklin-Intracom, has signed a deal to supply US-based Taylor Telephone Cooperative with its integrated IPTV middleware solution, the Greek company said in an announcement yesterday. No financial details concerning the deal were given. «This agreement with Taylor Telephone Cooperative demonstrates that our IPTV solution is flexible enough to meet the needs of a growing number of different network configurations,» said Ian Meletios, CEO at Conklin-Intracom. IPTV (Internet protocol television) is a system providing digital television over a network such as a broadband connection. Intracom Telecom, controlled by Russia’s JSC Sitronics, has subsidiaries in 16 countries, including Bulgaria, Cyprus and Saudi Arabia. The company is 49 percent-owned by Intracom Holdings, whose shares are listed on the Athens bourse.
