Property projects go forward

Property developer Charagionis Group is moving ahead with 220 million euros of investments in the commercial real estate market, the company said yesterday. The six projects to provide retail space are in central locations in Athens, Piraeus, Thessaloniki and Iraklio, Crete, and are at different stages of completion. «There is interest in the city centers,» Theodore Charagionis, executive chairman, told reporters. Charagionis’s property portfolio exceeds the 1-billion-euro mark, including concessions. The company also owns 2.5 percent of Lamda Development, which operates in real estate and whose shares are listed on the Athens bourse. Charagionis, which also has interests in retail trade, will soon launch Greece’s first Ferrari boutique in central Athens. The Athens-based company also holds the Greek franchise rights to luxury Italian retail brand Gucci and Spain’s Step Two as regards the toy retail brand Imaginarium.
