Workers from the National Hellenic Research Foundation gathered in central Athens yesterday to protest against a recent government decision to restructure research organizations. The conservative government says these changes will help boost research in Greece by helping them qualify for more funding from the European Union while employees argue that the changes will provide a boost to privately owned research centers.
