Consumption drop forces shop closures

More and more professional properties sit empty, given the dire financial conditions on the market, with more shops likely to close down this fall. Retail sales posted a 14.2 percent annual decline in June, according to data by the National Statistical Service, while reports suggest that even enterprises with as many as five branches are considering closure or the sale of some of their properties in order to remain in the market. Traders will also want to put the issue of sales and offers by retailers back on the negotiating table with whatever government emerges from the elections. Up until September 10, several well-known apparel chains will be offering significant discounts on their stock, as much as 70 percent in some cases.
