Intralot to start operations in Brazil’s Minas Gerais

Gambling services provider Intralot will operate lottery games in the state of Minas Gerais in Brazil, expanding its reach in the Latin American region, the company said yesterday. In a six-year deal, which has an option of renewal for another six years, Intralot will initially launch a Keno-type game before setting up a network comprising 2,500 points of sale. No financial details were disclosed. «Intralot will have the complete operation of the project, including all the related services and will utilize the existing infrastructure it has already established in the country,» the Greek company said in a statement. Intralot has a presence in more than 50 countries, including Uruguay, Columbia and Peru.
