Costa Navarino resort…
The Costa Navarino resort in Messenia, in the southern Peloponnese, yesterday opened the doors of its first hotel, providing a major boost to employment and tourism in the region. The Romanos hotel, which has 664 employees, started operating along with an 18-hole signature golf course. Aegean Airlines is now flying daily to Kalamata from Athens as a result of increased passenger traffic to the area. Once fully operational, Costa Navarino will provide jobs for 5,500 people.
