Archaeological findings to be displayed in future Piraeus metro station

An archaeologist examines potsherds found during excavations for the Athens metro extension in the port city of Piraeus. Commuters on the new line, which is slated for completion next summer, will be treated to displays of some of the archaeological discoveries made during its construction at the Municipal Theater Station. These include sections of a beautiful mosaic floor and a Roman-era aqueduct.
