Sheltering under umbrellas outside Athens Cathedral, crowds of devout Orthodox Christians queued yesterday to worship what they believe is the miracle-working icon of Our Lady of Jerusalem, on loan from the Jerusalem Orthodox Patriarchate. A popular attraction in Thessaloniki last month, the icon will be on display in Athens until Friday.
