Remains found in car in Corfu port identified

The remains found in a sunken car in the port of Corfu island on Monday were identified on Tuesday as those of a man who went missing over 16 years ago. said the man had gone missing from the area of Karousades but his death was the result of a criminal act.

An expert opinion is expected and a relative of the man has been invited to the port.

The bones found in the car include the right thigh, the tibia and others.

Divers also found two men’s size 44 shoes.
