Thieves use forklift to smash into sugar, oil factory

A group of robbers raided a factory trading in sugar and raw materials in the industrial area of Aspropyrgos, west Attica, overnight, police said Thursday.

The thieves entered the company’s yard at around 3.30 a.m. and two of them immobilised a 24-year-old security employee. They then gained entry into the factory using a forklift to smash through shutters and reach the manager’s office from where they stole an unknown amount of cash, 10 kilos of sugar and 25 containers of sun oil.

Police is searching for the robbers.
