Man arrested for revenge porn and rape

Police in Athens have apprehended and arrested a 35-year-old man who is wanted on charges of rape, revenge pornography, threats, insults, bodily harm and domestic violence.
The man was arrested on Monday morning in Aspropyrgos by detectives from Saronikos, in southeastern Attica.
Police sources said that in 2021 the man had a relationship with a 17-year-old girl, whom he raped. When she tried to leave him, he emailed intimate pictures of her to a third party.
In a search carried out in the homes of the 35-year-old, two computers, a hard disk, a USB stick and two mobile phones were found and confiscated.
The arrested man was led before a prosecutor. [AMNA]
