Doctors at public hospitals and IKA to strike
IKA social security fund doctors have called a strike for Tuesday and Wednesday while hospital doctors will also be on strike on March 30.
Employees at non-urban public hospitals also announced that they will strike on Thursday, while those working at city hospitals will hold a work stoppage between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. on the same day.
Doctors are due to hold a rally in central Athens on Wednesday.
IKA doctors are demanding that all their employment contracts with the fund are renewed. The protests will also focus on the government?s spending cuts in the health sector.
