Two die in fight at Ano Liossia landfill

Two people were killed and another three injured in an apparent fight between Pakistani immigrants and Roma at the Ano Liossia landfill on Friday.

According to Skai TV and Radio, the fight broke out after City of Athens employees buried at the dump items they had seized from street traders.

Pakistanis living close to the landfill reportedly dug up the site where the knock-offs were buried but were confronted by members of the nearby Gypsy community when they attempted to leave with the goods.

Two people were killed during the clashes between the two sides. No further details were made public.
