Two Marfin suspects to testify today
Two people suspected of being involved in the deadly firebomb attack on a branch of Marfin Bank in central Athens during an anti-austerity rally a year ago are due to give depositions on Saturday.
One of the four suspects questioned so far gave a statement on Friday.
The 27-year-old from Kazakhstan denied being involved in the attack, which led to three bank employees dying of asphyxiation.
The fourth suspect received his case file on Friday and has been given 48 hours to prepare his defense. He is being questioned in connection to the attack on the Ianos bookstore that took place shortly before the firebombing at the bank.
Police suspect that the same group of protesters were involved in both raids.
