Golden Dawn responds to Holocaust denial reports
A few hours after Golden Dawn MP Ilias Kasidiaris indicated he is a Holocaust denier, the neo-Nazi party sought to fend off criticism from other parties.
In a statement late on Friday, Golden Dawn attacked Greece’s coalition parties for supporting the EU/IMF memorandum and for having members who are “deniers of the Greek holocausts.”
The party was referring to Maria Repousi, a Democratic Left MP and historian who has come under fire for her allegedly revisionist views.
“Golden Dawn is the custodian of national memory and historical truth,” the party said adding that “it will not allow them to turn Greece into Germany.”
