138 illegal migrants intercepted off Kythera
Two sailing boats carrying 138 illegal immigrants were intercepted off the coast of the island of Kythera in southern Greece late on Thursday.
The two ships were carrying a total of 138 people, among them young children, who are believed to be from different Asian countries.
The migrants were taken to the port of Neapoli in the southeast Peloponnese, while coast guard officers are continuing to search for the traffickers.
