Panagoulis statue gets green light
The Culture Ministry has approved the installation of a two-meter statue of anti-junta activist Alekos Panagoulis on Dikaiosinis Square off Panepistimiou Street in central Athens.
Panagoulis was jailed by the military dictatorship in 1968 after leading a failed attempt to assassinate Colonel Georgios Papadopoulos.
