Butcher killed in Rendi ambush
A 38-year-old butcher was killed early on Monday in a fatal ambush involving four assailants who robbed and shot him in the central Rendi market in southwestern Athens, according to police.
Witnesses said one of the assailants grabbed the victim?s pocketbook while the other shot him at close range.
The 38-year-old was transferred to the hospital, where he died of his injuries.
Police suggested no motive for the attack.
