French tourist drowns in Lefkada storm
A 60-year-old Frenchman drowned on Lefkada late on Tuesday when a flash storm hit the Ionian island.
A tornado hit the area of Vlichos, overturning boats that were anchored in the harbor. The unnamed tourist was on a boat with his wife when the storm struck.
The woman was rescued from the sea unharmed. Two British tourists who had been on board a yacht managed to swim to safety when the vessel began taking on water.
