Armed intruders break into Glyfada flat
Three hooded intruders armed with Kalashnikov assault rifles broke into the apartment of a young couple in the southern Athenian suburb of Glyfada early Wednesday morning.
After grabbing the couple?s money and jewelry, the intruders sexually assaulted the young woman, the mother of two 2-year-olds who were sleeping in the flat during the attack.
The assault follows a series of house and apartment raids which Greek police forces believe were carried out by the same group of armed men. According to some reports, a closed-circuit TV recording of one of the raids, in which the face of one of the perpetrators is clearly visible, is currently in the hands of the police department.
