University of Crete gets global distinction
The University of Crete has been ranked 276th in the annual supplement compiled by UK newspaper The Times newspaper, listing the world?s top 400 universities.
The California Institute of Technology topped the list. The University of Crete was founded in 1973. It has five schools and 17 departments, and employs 700 staff members. It is attended by some 23,500 students. It was the only Greek university on the list.
