Armed robbers hold up motorist
A motorist was hospitalized in the early hours of Friday after four assailants threatened him while he was waiting at a road junction near the electric railway (ISAP) station in Maroussi, north of Athens.
According to witnesses, the man attempted to resist the would-be robbers but was dragged out of his car and hit on the head with the butt of a gun by one of the assailants. The robbers then fled the scene in the victim?s car.
Police said the robbers did not strip the man of his wallet, watch and other valuables.
The motorist?s injuries are not believed to be serious.
