Stress takes toll on premier’s aides
The stressful bargaining of the past few days appears to have taken a toll on some government officials, reports said Thursday.
Two of Prime Minister George Papandreou’s close aides have been taken to hospital for tests, reports said.
Giorgos Zanias, Chairman of the Council of Economic Advisors under Greece’s finance ministry, was taken to hospital following Sunday’s eurozone meeting in Brussels, after he reportedly felt a tightening in his chest and his blood pressure shot up.
Giorgos Glinos, an economist, was also admitted to an Athens clinic after suffering a cardiac episode in Brussels last week.
