Christofias meets Eroglu in New York
Cyprus President Dimitris Christofias and Turkish-Cypriot leader Dervis Eroglu Sunday met in New York where they are to resume stalled peace talks with United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon.
According to sources, the UN chief will make proposals in a bid to bridge the gulf between the two leaders on thorny issues such as the return of property.
On Saturday, Christofias met in New York with Greek Foreign Minister Stavros Lambrinidis, who was also to meet with Matthew Nimetz, the United Nations special representative for the name dispute between Greece and the Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia.
