Greek PM on the phone with French President
Greek Prime Minister George Papandreou and French President Nicolas Sarkozy spoke on the phone on Wednesday. The two leaders discussed eurozone developments, while the Greek Prime Minister informed President Sarkozy of his decisions regarding a coalition of Greek political powers which will secure a deal sealed on October 27 on the country?s debt.
The phone conversation came a few days after international media reported remarks made by Sarkozy during a private conversation with US President Barack Obama at the recent G20 summit in Cannes, France. Reporters covering the summit overheard Sarkozy referring to the Greek Premier as ?crazy? and ?depressed.?
