Teens among rioters arrested on Tuesday

Ten of the 21 people arrested during Tuesday?s disturbances on the sidelines of protests to mark the third anniversary of teenager Alexis Grigoropoulos being shot dead by a police officer were aged under 17, it was revealed on Wednesday.

Some of the 21, including three Germans, two Albanians, a Spaniard, a Portuguese and a Pole, appeared before a magistrate on Wednesday.

They face charges that include breaching the peace, causing bodily harm, resisting arrest and breaking the law on the carrying of weapons.

Dozens of Molotov cocktails were seized by police.

Seven people, aged between 18 and 33, were arrested in Thessaloniki.
