Hospitals, health centers, EKAB ambulance services and other health services around the country are operating on limited staff from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Thursday due to a four-hour work stoppage.
Employees are protesting against spending cuts in the health sector, among other issues. A rally outside the Health Ministry takes place at 11.30 a.m.
Meanwhile, Greece?s civil servants? union, ADEDY, has called a three-hour work stoppage from noon on Thursday, in protest at lay-offs in the sector and other austerity measures.
